Glendining Signs Launches Exclusive “Support on Site” Wellbeing Signage Range in Collaboration with The Lighthouse Charity

Glendining Signs is proud to announce the launch of its new Support on Site (SOS) range, an exclusive collection of mental health and wellbeing signage developed in collaboration with the Lighthouse Charity, who provide 24/7 holistic support to our UK and Ireland construction community on all aspects of emotional, physical and financial wellbeing.

Created specifically for the realities of construction environments, the new signage range is designed to raise awareness of common wellbeing challenges while helping workers quickly access the Lighthouse Charity’s free and confidential support services.

As part of the initiative, Glendining Signs will donate £1 to the Lighthouse Charity, for every SOS sign sold, in addition to its annual company supporter contribution, directly helping the charity continue its vital work across the industry.

Supporting an Industry That Needs It

"We're so proud to be a supporter of The Lighthouse Charity, Glendining Signs became a company supporter of the charity last year and since then we've been following their work with great interest"

Chris Lake | Operations Director

The Lighthouse Charity has spent 70 years supporting construction workers and their families. A crucial element of the charity’s strategy is to provide a range of free and widely available reactive and proactive resources to support the industry.  They offer a free and confidential 24/7 helpline, live web chat service and text facility which provides a range of information, guidance and support on a huge variety of wellbeing issues. These services are complemented by their free self-support app,  along with their Lighthouse Beacons who provide a safe space for people to share concerns.

By partnering with the Lighthouse Charity, Glendining Signs aims to make that support more visible and accessible on active sites, where it can make the greatest difference.

The Support on Site range has been developed to:

  • Highlight common wellbeing issues within construction
  • Raise awareness of the Lighthouse Charity and its services
  • Provide clear signposting to immediate, confidential support
  • Encourage open conversations about mental health on site
  • Help reduce stigma across the industry

This exclusive range is available only through Glendining Signs.

A Partnership with Purpose

"Initiatives such as this, highlight the importance of partnerships in our industry and allow us to extend the message of support on site.

Sarah Bolton | CEO of Lighthouse Charity

Glendining Signs and the Lighthouse Charity share a strong belief that improving wellbeing in construction requires both awareness and practical action. By combining clear on-site messaging with direct charitable support, the SOS range turns everyday signage into a meaningful intervention tool.

Chris Lake, Operations Director of Glendining Signs said, “We're so proud to be a supporter of the Lighthouse Charity. Glendining signs became a company supporter of the charity last year and since then we've been following their work with great interest.

I first had the idea for the SOS range of signs after seeing people post on social media about the “Make it Visible” tours provided by the charity. It made me think about how we could make the charity more visible to people on site who might not have heard about them. We came up with a range of designs and worked with the team at Lighthouse to make sure they were happy with what we'd worked on. We are now selling this range with a charitable donation built in so this really is a win-win!

We can't wait to see some posts online of these signs popping up on sites! What better way to show your support for the Lighthouse Charity in their 70th birthday year."

Sarah Bolton, CEO of the Lighthouse Charity added, “Initiatives such as this, highlight the importance of partnerships in our industry and allow us to extend the message of support on site. As well as being a company supporter, Glendining are actively helping us to raise awareness of the help available to our community and letting them know that support is available.”

Launching during the Lighthouse Charity’s milestone 70th anniversary year, the initiative aims to amplify the charity’s reach at a time when demand for wellbeing support across construction remains high.
